Set out your own constraints, when you need to move, what you can commit, who is joining you, and measure them against the published Gold Card process, including vetting, the determination, and visa availability. If a future option is later released with different terms, it can be evaluated then.
Treating an announcement as a commitment is how a timetable quietly loses a year. Write the household's own constraints down before comparing anything, since they are the only fixed points in the exercise: when a move has to happen, what can be committed, who is joining, and what would make the plan impossible. Measured against published terms, those constraints usually produce a clear answer.
