What is the main cost driver in a client-site case?

THE DIRECT ANSWER

Legal analysis. The offsite supervision and labour-for-hire assessment takes real time, may require reviewing contracts and correspondence, and can conclude that the arrangement needs restructuring. Contract review and any client approvals sit alongside it. Budget for the assessment as a distinct step rather than an add-on.

Pay for the assessment before the filing

Ask for a scope that makes the offsite review visible, whether priced separately or within a package. Confirm which contracts and communications will be examined, what happens if the engagement needs a genuine change and which additional work would cost more. Compare government charges, legal work and practical project costs separately.

The pricing format does not itself establish the quality of the advice or the outcome. Add one further item ahead of everything else: the qualifying history check, bought as its own small engagement. Careers in customer-facing technical work often contain a contracting period, a secondment onto a client's payroll, a transfer between group entities, or earlier time in the United States, and that arithmetic can determine what is possible before any contractual analysis matters.

Ask for it first, priced separately, and agree what happens to the wider plan if the answer is unfavourable. Hypothetical example: a yard management specialist's employer commissions a contractual review of three client agreements and only afterwards assembles the employment timeline, discovering a fourteen-month period during which the person was engaged through a staffing company, which is precisely the fact that should have been established in the first hour.
