From the day conditional residence begins. The filing window ordinarily opens ninety days before the second anniversary, which leaves little room to collect two years of evidence retrospectively. Start the quarterly routine immediately and treat each report as it arrives. Adjudication timelines after filing are not fixed, so an early, complete file is the part within the investor's control.
Book the review meetings in advance
Schedule three checkpoints across the conditional period: an early one to agree the evidence list, a midpoint one to test what has been collected, and one roughly six months before the window opens to prepare the filing. Put them in the calendar as appointments, not intentions. If the project falls behind or the sponsor changes, bring the meeting forward rather than waiting for the next scheduled date.
The process generally involves an investor petition, an immigrant visa or adjustment-of-status stage where available, and a later step to remove conditions on residence, and visa availability and individual circumstances affect the sequence. EB-5 requires capital placed at risk, the applicable job-creation showing and conditional residence after immigrant admission or adjustment approval; a transfer request does not replace those conditions.
