Ask the sponsor for the offering documents, subscription and escrow terms, entity chart, business plan, budget and the job-allocation explanation. For the standalone alternative, assemble the purchase or formation documents, lease, hiring plan and payroll assumptions. Put both sets beside the investor's own funding records so an adviser reviews one connected file.
Keep marketing material out of the evidence file
Slide decks and returns projections belong in a separate folder from executed agreements. When a sponsor answers a question verbally, ask for the answer in writing and date it. If a document is still in draft, note that on the index rather than treating it as final.
Where a standalone purchase is under discussion, request the seller's financial records early, because their absence often decides the comparison before any immigration analysis begins. Open a third folder for the money's own history, kept apart from both the offering documents and the enterprise records. It should trace the capital from identifiable lawful earnings through every account it passed, with the tax filings, sale contracts, loan agreements or gift instruments explaining each step.
Where a transfer moved through a relative or a currency intermediary, document that leg rather than skipping past it. Hypothetical example: an investor evaluating a pet-food plant assembles seven years of business tax filings and two property sale statements, then finds a single unexplained inter-account transfer that takes longer to evidence than the entire project review did.
